Recent Activity: Members of the Rotary Club of Admiralty, including President Heston, President-Elect SK To, Past President Ricky, and Past District Governor Keith, attended the 65th District Conference hosted by Rotary International District 3450. The event took place on 24-25 May 2025 at the Galaxy International Convention Centre (GICC) in Macao, bringing together Rotarians from across the district for inspiring sessions, networking, and collaborative discussions.
Highlights of the Conference:
- Opening Ceremony & Plenary Sessions: Featured addresses by District Governor Nigel Lo, keynote speaker Professor Gilberto Ka-Kit Leung (University of Hong Kong), and Rotary International President’s Representative Trustee Chun-Wook Hyun.
- Breakout Sessions: Covered forward-thinking topics such as Ethical Use of AI, Resilience, and Youth Leadership, with contributions from industry experts and Rotary leaders.
- Awards & Recognitions: Celebrated outstanding service, including the Vocational Service Award, People of Action (PoA) Competition, and Rotary Volunteer Awards.
- Fireside Chat: Olympic gold medalist Vivian Kong Man Wai shared her journey, moderated by Assistant Governor Henry Wong.
- Networking & Fellowship: Members enjoyed the Governor’s Banquet, cocktail receptions, and the “House of Friendship” to strengthen connections.
Admiralty’s Participation:
Our members actively engaged in sessions, contributed to discussions, and represented the club’s commitment to Rotary’s ideals. PDG Keith’s presence underscored our club’s enduring ties to district leadership.
The conference concluded with a renewed focus on service, innovation, and fellowship—key themes our club will carry forward into the 2025-26 Rotary year.
