Rotary Club of Admiralty: Celebrating Our Recent Installation

The Rotary Club of Admiralty recently held a vibrant club installation ceremony on July 2, 2025, attended by over 50 Rotarians and esteemed guests. The event was graced by the presence of Past District Governors PDG YC Ho and PDG Eric Chak, who participated in a special pinning ceremony for our new member, Baden.

Reflecting on Our Journey

As we celebrated our accomplishments and looked forward to the future, outgoing President Dr. Heston Kwong shared heartfelt reflections on the past year. Under his leadership, the club achieved significant milestones, particularly in our Diabetic Foot Community Care Programme, which assessed over 635 diabetic patients and provided 275 pairs of customized footwear to those at risk. This initiative exemplified our commitment to Service Above Self and earned us recognition as Champion of Impact Maker and first runner-up in the Service Award category.

Dr. Kwong also highlighted our successful “Say No to Drugs” campaign, supported by a substantial grant of approximately $10 million from the Hong Kong Jockey Club. This funding will enhance our outreach and educational efforts, empowering our community to make informed decisions.

A Vision for the Future

Incoming President Mr. S K To delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the club’s focus on three key priorities: Service, Engagement, and Fellowship.

1. Service: We will continue our legacy projects, including the “Say No to Drugs” initiative and the Diabetic Foot Care Program, while launching the new Workplace Wellness Transformation Initiative aimed at fostering healthier habits among professionals.
2. Engagement: Mr. To encouraged every member to participate actively, highlighting the diverse talents within our club. From organizing events to mentoring, every contribution matters.
3. Fellowship: The year ahead promises a blend of service and joy, with exciting outings and activities planned to strengthen our bonds as we work together.
